After two weeks of vacation... the Pugs and Kelly show is back. Kelly points out that it's 11:11 and Pugs says that he was looking at the clock 12 hours ago. Pugs tells us that he started to get sick on Saturday and Kelly tells him that she was talking to somebody that told her that you can think yourself get sick. Pugs informs us that he can feel liquid dripping from his nose to the back of his throat. Kelly lets him know that was hot. Pugs complains about how hoarse he sounds and Kelly lets him know that he sounds normal. Pugs and Kelly bring out their Pugs and Kelly show science project. They were suppose to open it last year but they forgot. Kelly reminds us of the origin of the science project. They occasionally do a bit called "Club P and K" where they showcase a local bar/restaurant. This bar called Nikita brought a traditional Russian toast. Pugs calls it awful and Kelly informs us that nothing goes better with vodka than a pickle, horse radish, and a piece of rye bread. They left all the food in this old pop corn tin aver last year's Christmas break. When they returned they found that it went bad. Through out last year, they checked on it and occasionally added things to it. Wine, supplements, salmon from Iceland, various foods, and owl puke were amongst the things they left in there. Kelly reminds us that last time they opened it, things popped out. Pugs says that they can't open it in the studio because it'll be so awful that they'll have to leave. Sybil says that when they open it the whole 1st floor gets unbearable. Kelly tells us that they tried to trick her brother into opening it when he was in town last. Kelly gives Pugs a Christmas present and Pugs tells her that he doesn't want it. He reminds her that they decided that they wouldn't do the gifts. She also got gifts for Sybil and Gavin. Gavin enters the studio and Kelly tells him that she has a bone to pick with him. Gavin made Kelly think that he put a lot of thought and effort into his gift and he gave her a Starbucks gift card. Pugs tells us that people must think that he watches a lot of TV because everyone got him DVDs. Pugs opens his gift... it's a Live Aid DVD box set.Pugs seems very excited but confuses Live Aid and Band Aid. Kelly got Gavin cologne. She says that when she bought it she wanted to make it very clear that it was for her boss. She wanted to get him something new but she didn't feel that she had the right to tell him how he should smell. Sybil opens her present. Kelly tells her to not read the card because she said something dirty. Pugs wonders if it says "here's something more than Pugs gave you.. shut up about it". Sybil got work out clothes. Sybil thanks her and tells us that she was asking for work out clothes. Pugs complains that he hates this about Christmas. He having to sit around hearing people talk about their presents amongst each other. Kelly is opening a gift from Sybil. Pugs tells us that Sybil got him a New York Yankee retrospective coffee table book that he loves. Pugs brags about his collection of coffee table books and Kelly tells him that all he needs now is a coffee table. Sybil got Kelly an Elf DVD and some moisturizer. Pugs complains about the discussion and Gavin comments on how this is good radio. Sybil also gave Kelly some Pajamas. Kelly would like to thank the letter M who gave her a candle. Kelly says that it was the only present that she opened on Christmas. Pugs laughs at him. Kelly complains that her father got her nothing. Pugs wonders if her dad paid for her college and Kelly tells him that he sounds like her father. Kelly says that she's no longer speaking to her father. She tells us that her father kept calling her during the break to tell her that she needs to worry about more than the time between 11 AM to 3 PM. She says that he's unhappy with the decisions that Pugs and her made and felt the need to tell her at Christmas time. Kelly wonders if it's too late for her to switch sides on the divorce. Her mom got her two sweaters and a skirt. Pugs tells us that his mom is just happy that he's employed. Gavin opens Pugs' gift. It's an autographed picture of Carlton Fisk hitting the big home run in the 1976 world series. Kelly thinks that's way better than her cologne. Eric got Kelly some work out clothes. Pugs gets a Rudy DVD from Gavin. He also gets a Rose Bowl Champion Texas Longhorn cap and inside of it is a gift certificate to Blue Fish.

*break*

Pugs says that he feels like he forgot everything during the break and Eric complains that he has to learn his system again. Pugs tells us that he spent Christmas with Lady Friend and her kids. He didn't do anything on New Year's Eve and Kelly says that she just went to her friend Sherry's house. Kelly complains about them being old. Eric says that he just went to a chilled house party. Pugs went to the Pub and Grub and complains about how Frisco's drinking laws (last call at 10-12) made them celebrate New York's new year. Sybil stayed at home and was in bed by 12:03. Kelly wonders if Sybil has any new jewelry on her finger and Sybil says no. Pugs asks if it was awkward for him because she was expecting a ring. Sybil says that she wasn't expecting a ring but tells us that she was expecting it during thanksgiving. He made a comment while he was drunk that had her thinking that way. After Pugs asks, Sybil tells him that they've been going out for 2.5 years and living together for a little over a year. Sybil explains that he wants to pay cash for a ring and Pugs thinks that is a brilliant excuse. Kelly thinks that he should crap or get off the pot. I received a sudden mysterious blow to the back of my head and I pass out for a while... anything that was said on the show was certainly not heard by me. Kelly complains about her father getting older and crankier. Steve calls in to say that he's been dating his girlfriend for 9 years and wonders how he could surprise her with a ring. Pugs says that he just took a fully charged credit card and took her to the mall. He bought a smoothie while she was trying on clothes at the Gap. While she was trying on clothes, he ran up and bought her a ring. He kept the ring in his pocket and gave it to her two weeks later. Kelly thinks that he should just get a solitaire. Then they can pick out a wedding band together. Kelly likes her idea best. A chick calls in to say that her husband surprised her by asking her on his birthday, Kelly thinks that's sweet because it makes it seem like that he wanted his present to be her. Bob calls in to say that everyone is making too big a deal of these rings. They got married in 1990 and he didn't get her a ring till 1993. Bob says that his wife was perfectly happy with that. Kelly thinks that we're all looking for low expectations in our lives. Pugs laughs but then realizes the brilliance of that statement. Low Expectations for 2005. Pugs brings up how one of his friends was bragging that he bought his former fiance a 12 carat ring. All the girls that were hanging around the table were impressed but Pugs thought that was tacky. Wayne, King of the Down Under Pub and Grub, calls in to defend himself. He tells us that it was a 12.8 carat and had a carat on each side. Pugs wonders how that engagement worked out with her and Wayne lets us know that he got the ring back. Wayne says that he got a good deal on it and he informs us that it was a ring you don't really see everyday. Kelly reminds him that you don't really see too many black onyx wedding rings either but that doesn't mean people should rush out to get them.

*break*

I had a slight emergency come up and it took half my brain to respond to it. Apparently, it was the half of my brain that records the show because I didn't record anything after this segment. Not a good way to start the year off, I'm sorry.
